01: Operational Challenge & Concurrency Bottleneck

Engineering Ownership & Architecture Scope

I owned the entire product full-stack as a solo engineer within a monorepo, designing the database schema, worker queues, external store connectors, and merchant dashboard.

01: Operational Challenge & Concurrency Bottleneck

Merchants selling across the Middle East lose hours daily copying order details into courier portals, reconciling cash-on-delivery payments, and manually updating stock levels across multiple storefronts.

Concurrency & State Contention

Ingesting bulk product updates and order webhooks from multiple storefronts concurrently threatened to overwhelm database connections and trigger external courier API rate limits.

DIAGNOSIS_LOGGED
02: Engineered Solution & ACID Guarantees

I built a worker queue pipeline with exponential backoff retries, concurrency limiters, and payload deduplication to process external events asynchronously without blocking HTTP request threads or tripping third-party rate limits.
